AS/RS MODULE
A pre-structured environment for automatic storage and retrieval modeling
The AS/RS Module consists of one or more aisles of storage racks where Storage/Retrieval Machines (S/RM) pick up and retrieve material. Storage racks are arranged along parallel aisles. Both sides of each aisle are served by a single S/RM. The S/RM can move horizontally and vertically at the same time.
The module is configured to define tiers, bays, P&D stands and zones. Vehicles are controlled using mandatory scheduling lists provided on a palette or optional vehicle procedures and functions. A menu option is provided for number of aisles, aisle width, number of bays, bay width, bay depth, next tier height and adjacent aisle width. Specifications such as acceleration, deceleration, velocity, creep speed and distance, and fine position time are available.
